Welcome to this page of our website.

I will be sharing some of my thoughts and displaying some photos of daylilies, hostas and other perennial in my garden, with my personal comments about how they do in my garden. Many will be available for sale and can ordered by e-mailing me at cklos@jamadots.com.

Fall is fast approaching. School is started or will be started soon. Usually by now I could be cutting back daylilies and other plants that are finished blooming and are looking sad or bad or both--not this year. Although they are generally past peak many of the daylilies are still blooming and looking good when the rain and wind doesn't get to them. Shasta daisies are just now fully past peak and dieing. Heliopsis are still blooming and looking good. They are a favorite of mine. No staking, even though they are tall. No special attention needed. Long bloom time. What more could you ask for? See picture attached.

As soon as the daylilies finish I will be cutting back plants and trimming bushes and dividing many plants and potting them for next spring while doing some rearranging in various garden areas (the biggest job). While doing this I will know which daylilies and hosta I will have a lot of for sale next spring and will post their photos and prices on our site. You can e-mail me anytime to order for spring pickup.

I will fertilize once more with 10-10-10 or 12-12-12 while cleaning up in the garden. I will try to get my garden maps and plant name tags straightened out and when all that is done I will be extremely happy not to have to think about the garden for a very long time.

I will then get back to sewing and my other passion, writing. So check back for photos and prices of plants that for sure will be available for spring pickup, and misoleaneous garden info. Carol
